summer in the city

Summer in the city in nanjing is usually hot and humid-an outside sauna.So I have escaped the heat for a month-discovering the coolness of southern Minnesota and what I used to call home. For the past two weeks I've been enjoying the cool of Minnesota and actually wearing a sweatshirt today. Although they are having a dry spell-7 inches below normalrainfall for this year.
Culture shock seems never ending-1.75 for a 15 minute bus ride that would be .25 in Nanjing.
Back in China websites continue to be blocked for various political/social reasons. Part of the reasosns for no postings since May-blogger.com being blocked in China. Still searching for a site for my classes come fall .
